Not a bad view of little old Adelaide though, I guess i can come up here when the sky is being interesting, im thinking i will try and get a unique shot of this every once in a while. Gives me an excuse to come up and see this view.

Queenstown, Tasmania

Iron Blow was the site for the earliest major mining venture beginning in 1883 in Queenstown, Tasmania. Originally Iron Blow worked as a gold mine before huge deposits of copper was discovered.

To take this photo you needed to walk out onto a long platform which overhangs the open cut mine and offers views of the surrounding Linda Valley.

It seemed wherever we went around the southwest of Tasmania we ran into Hillbillies. One guy rode his motorcycle to the top of the ridge directly opposite us to specifically to roll big rocks into the lake, fist pumping the air as each one roll down into the water below. So to fit in we decided we would spend the next 15mins throwing rocks into the pit trying to reach the waters edge, each time screaming like we were swamp people. What a thrill……

This image was taken in Risby Cove in Strahan Tasmania. This was at the end of out 4 day Tasmanian adventure kayaking the Gordon River. I was offloading the Kayaks back to their homes when the sun started setting, so quickly set up the Camera to take a series of photos.

Kayaking the Gordon was a pretty amazing experience, even though we were very unorganised and underprepared, the journey was well worth the expenses and something I wish to do again.

Kangaroo Island, South Australia

My favourite place to stay in Kangaroo Island is at the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat, near the entrance to the Flinders Chase National Park. You stay in small wooden cabins that surround a courtyard littered with small Tammar Wallabies. In the past you were able to feed the wallabies with small bags of food provided by the hotel, however they have stopped providing this and the wallabies seem less of a pest and more a wild animal. Seeing them now is more of an experience rather than an expectation.

This is not really a nice image from a photographic point of view but the fact that in probably 20 years time places like this will not exist in central Shanghai, makes it an interesting photo to hold onto.

Reaching the summit of the Yellow Mountains in Huangshan, China, gave the perfect vantage point to take a panorama of the Sea of Clouds. It is best to arrive early to escape the hoards of Chinese Tourists, it is in close proximity to one of the gondolas and hotels so it gets quite busy.

The light wasn’t too great and would have liked to get this shot during sunset, but we had to trek down the mountain and make the train that night.

Shanghai, China

I photographed this little girl/boy, i can never tell. Racist? No. Just stupid. I’ll just guess boy….

This little guy seemed to be getting a lesson in bicycle repair in one of the million different tiny repair shops, these small shops can be found around almost any corner selling everything from nuts and bolts for quick repairs to fresh batteries for the battery powered scooters. It seems that these shops are always very busy, this is no surprise though as you very rarely see new bikes cruising around, they all seemed to be refurbished or recycled, most likely in one of these small stores, by this little guy….

Shanghai, China

This is my first Brenizer attempt, i have always liked seeing technique in photos for quite some time now but have never got a chance to attempt it until now. It is hard work.

I have taken my early 2007 macbook pro to China to store my photos and it has photoshop. Stitching a Brenizer on this heap of junk takes hours, and may melt the desk if I keep trying. I would really like to get this technique figured out so I can use it every now and then. I think next time i need to stand a little further back and take less photos.
