Cape du Couedic
Kangaroo Island, South Australia
Cape du Couedic is the south-western point of Kangaroo Island, off the coast of South Australia. It is named by the French explorer Nicolas Baudin in honour of his friend Charles Louis, Chevalier du Couedic de Kergoualer, a famous French sea captain.
This view is taken from the main board walk leading to Admirals Arch. Along this path you will see amazing rock formations cut away by crashing southern swells and a large colony of New Zealand Fur Seals sleeping or swimming around the rocks below.
